the famous evangelist's son, though

Jerry, Junior, was not told the call

Hutcherson's lawyer was allowed to play
the tape during his opening statement.

Falwell Ministries had donated
32-thousand dollars to a charity
Reverend Hutcherson's church set up in
2004.

The younger Falwell told Hutcherson he
should consider the money a loan to
him, though the Falwell's did expect
Hutcherson to pay the charity back-
-eventually.
KEITH ON CAM KEITH ON CAM

got authorization to take the money out
of his Trinity New Life Charity.
Hutcherson allegedly told federal
agents that the Charity's Board of
Directors approved his use of the
funds. Prosecutor Tom Bondurant says
the charity never HAD a board.

Of course, Jean, that's just one piece

money?

Christmas cards... the prosecutor says

Hutcherson maintained a mistress and
had 22-thousand dollars in bounced
checks fees to pay.

And a lot went to the I-R-S to pay back
taxes. One thing that's not in dispute
is that Hutcherson owed the government
more $100,000 in taxes.

GRAPHIC=NC State The folks at NC State continue to

flounder in their search for a new head
basketball coach to replace Herb

Sendek. After being spurned by Rick
Barnes and John Calipari, today, the
Pack struck out with former UCLA coach
Steve Lavin who said thanks but no
thanks. State is now said to be making
a serious run at West Virginia skipper
John Beilein who is said to have a 3
million dollar buyout.

GRAPHIC=ROANOKE The Roanoke College baseball team

closed out its season yesterday with an
8-to-5 loss to Ferrum.

The Maroons finished up their
fifth season as a varsity program with
a 15 and 21 record and they had a
losing record in the conference as
well, this year going 6 and 12.

It's not exactly the kind of year
first year head coach Larry Wood had
hoped for coming over from Glenvar.
