GRAPHIC=Brian McCloskey There's a major development tonight
in the Brian McCloskey case. A suspect
has been charged.
ENG#=1 VO-NAT
VO-NAT McCloskey was the Virginia Tech
freshmen who police believe was hit and
killed by a car on a Blacksburg walking
trail back in November.
This week, a Montgomery County grand
jury indicted 20 year old Aaron Pierce
who is also a Virginia Tech student.
According to a search warrant filed
in March, Pierce admitted he had been
drinking alcohol and was driving a Ford
Excursion through the walking trail
that night.
But he was unsure whether he hit
McCloskey.
Pierce has been released on a
50-thousand dollar bond.
His first court date is scheduled for
May 24th.

Wildcats vs. Spartans Both school are headed down the
:00 homstretch with just four regular
season games after tonight.
Rockbridge County would rise up
after falling behind 2-to-nothing as
Morgan Cohen will come up behind the
crease and sneak one past the keeper to
make it a 2-to-1 game.
Salem would come right back with
some nice passing as Michael Turk hits
Jed Lynch on the left side and he fires
one low and bounces it past the goalie.
Salem's now in front 3-to-1.
The Wildcats then turn up the
heat as Harry Simmons gets it ball to
Cohen - this time in
*CG final Rockbridge Co. front and he finesses it between the
5 pipes.
Salem But Salem was too much for the
13 young cats as goalie Ben Cook
Spartans Now 6 and 2 stonewalls him the point blanks shot
and Salem wins it 13 to 5.

(END SOT) every opportunity in high school thanks
to Pulaski County's run first and then
run some more attack. And after having
little impact in his first two seasons
at Tech, the 6-5, 245 pounder came into
his own over the last two years,
grabbing 51 receptions for nearly 600
yards and 12 TD's. Now King is one of
several Hokies hoping to fulfill a
lifelong dream of playing at the next
level.
JEFF KING/NFL DRAFT HOPEFUL:
This year's crop of tight ends is
especially deep, headed by Maryland's
Vernon Davis.
King is projected to be selected
anywhere between rounds 3 and 7 on
Sunday. His experience on Frank
Beamer's special teams should be an
added bonus.
JEFF:
King plans to play some golf this
weekend, and most of all relax, as he
did this past weekend with some young
Hokie fans at Suds car wash in Salem.

Generals vs. Eagles The Washington & Lee Generals
:00 hoped to open the tournament with a
upset of top seeded Bridgewater and
they would take a 2-to-nothing lead.
But The Eagles are the top seed
for a reason. In the bottom of the
6th, Grant French - the catcher will
hit one to left center fielder. The
Generals can't catch up to it and two
runs score and the Eagles take a 3-to-2
lead.
The very next batter Matt Steele
will do the same thing as he rips an
rbi double to left center driving home
Mr. French to make it 4-to-2.
*CG final Bridgewater
6 The Eagles got two more insurance
Washington & Lee runs and that was plenty for former
2 Brookville Bee Ricky Read - who tossed
a complete game 8 hitter to improve to
8 and 0 on the season.

The construction will include what's

planned to be the tallest building in
North America.
The developer who leased the area
just six weeks before terrorists
attacked, agreed to release control of
a portion of the 16 acre
site...clearing the way for the Port
Authority to have control over the
tower and a second skyscraper.
By 2012, officials say five
towers including a memorial and
performing arts center will lift the
Manhattan skyline.
