Hutcherson was a "good man"- -his
lawyer told the jury.

He just wasn't taking care of his
own personal financial situation.

The Falwells made the charitable
donation, expecting Hutcherson would
take the money with the understanding
he'd pay it back.

The government says Hutcherson
misappropriated the funds for his own
use, and paid it back only after he got

caught.
