Last Season Virginia Tech defensive back :00 Jimmy Williams was picked up by the
Falcons early in round two with the
37th overall pick. As a senior,
Williams recorded 44 tackles and one
interception mainly because opposing

quarterbacks stayed away from his side.

His former teammate Darryl Tapp
went later in the second round with the
63rd overall selection. Tapp is headed
west where he'll play for the Seahawks.
The 6-1, 252 pound Tapp had 10 sacks
and three forced fumbles this past
season.

Outside linebacker James
Anderson went one round later. J was
picked up by the Carolina Panthers at
number 88 overall, 24th in the third
round.

FX Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was in the :00 black car today in honor of his late
father's birthday. Maybe he should
have kept the red. Junior was just
27th fastest today.

It's been a bit of a trying year
for Elliott Sadler, but today, the
Emporia native wheeled the M&M's
machine around the superspeedway to the
tune of 188.511 miles an hour. That
was good enough for his 3rd pole in his
past 6 Talladega starts and the 7th of
his career. Tony Stewart will start on
the outside of row one. Here's a look
at how they'll lineup tomorrow.

Fox There was a tense moment or two :00 in today's Busch race at the track.
Midway thru the race, Tony Stewart
tries to make a hole where there isn't
one and gets squeezed by Kenny Wallace.
Stewart ended up airborne and on his
roof. Then he got T-boned. But after
being helped out of his car was ok.

In the end, Martin Truex, Jr. was
out front when it counted. He took the
checkered flag for his 3rd straight
Aaron's 312 victory. He did it from
the 12th starting spot.

:00 juniors from all over the state
tried to play their way into the field.

In the 15 to 18 year old
division, 16 girls teed it up competing
for two spots, and 70 boys went at it
for just 5 available spots.

This was also the first year
for a qualifier in the boys 14 and
under group.

The Robertson has grown into
one of the most prestigious junior
events in the country, and so too has
the competitive nature of just making
the field.
