16-year-old Charles Volpe drowned
in the Maury River last weekend.

Today's memorial service was held
at Jordan's Point-- where authorities
discovered his body.

Many who attended the memorial
were students from Rockbridge County
High School -- where Volpe was a
sophomore.

Most gathered under a large white
tent for the service.

Others sat by the makeshift
memorial of flowers that had been
placed next to the old dam that spans
the river.

1-nothing after one.

Salem got it right back though
