GRAPHIC=Hutcherson The jury could begin deliberating the

case of Lynchburg Mayor Carl Hutcherson
tonight.

All the evidence is in, and it's now
theirs to decide.

Hutcherson's lawyers made short work of
putting on evidence in his defense.

They presented half a dozen witnesses,
ranging from Hutcherson's daughter to a
technical expert in the Social Security
Administration. The defense rested its
case before lunch.

In closing arguments, Hutcherson's
lawyer described the Mayor as the "guy
who always answers the bell," a man who
tried to help people, a financially
weak person with an important title.

Richmond.

close to the bear's fence.

Wildlife officials say the new
bear will live in an isolated facility

If you were with us last night on
News 7 at 11, you know it was starting
to look like Marcus Vick would end up
with the Miami Dolphins.

Well, as it turns out he could

end up with the Fins.

The Dolphins are holding their
first mini-camp this weekend and Vick
has reportedly been invited to show up,
show the coaches what he can do and
attempt to earn a free agent contract.

Vick was not drafted over the
weekend, and so far not a single team
has been willing to offer him a free
agent contract.

It's unclear whether Miami wants
to look at Vick as a quarterback,
receiver or kick returner, but they
currently have a mess at quarterback.

They recently aquired Daunte
Culpepper, but he's still rehabbing a
knee that had to be completely
reconstructed. The only other
quarterbacks on the roster are former
Miami star Brock Berlin and former
Arkansas State star Cleo Lemon.

If none of this works out for
Vick - he may have to try to Canadian
Football League or the Arena League.

a two game sweep of the Cardinals with
a 3-to-2 win that was sealed in the

for NASCAR's Jimmie Johnson.

Last year on the restrictor plate
tracks Johnson was an accident waiting
to happen. At Talladega he caused
wrecks that took out 39 cars and
drivers were calling him every name in
the book.

But this year - he's two for two
when it comes to the "plate races" with
wins at both Daytona and Talladega.

He credits his success to
patience and realization that he can't
control but so much on th track.

copping a quick cuddle from

unsuspecting strangers.

The Gao brothers are ARTISTS who have
been photographing and filming

their 'group hug events' in China for
years...and now they've decided to

spread the love WORLDWIDE.

yesterday laying around Honolulu.

May Day is also "Lei Day" in Hawaii.

Yesterday, the Radisson Hotel
competed for the world's longest lei
record.

610- leis were strung together and
draped over the hotel's property.

Nearly 93- thousand flower blossoms
were used- and the lei measured more

than 27- hundred feet long.

Thousands of "Aloha" messages were
entwined in the lei.

Some of them were from children in
New York, who go to school near Ground
Zero.

As for the record attempt, we're
still waiting to hear if the hotel made
history.
