Conference men's lacrosse semi-finals
took place this afternoon.

And one of the games featured an
"old school" matchup between Washngton

Salem.

ENG#=1 VO-NAT

VO-NAT It's a dog eat dog world this

time of year and like this pooch you

better keep your head on a swivel.

Midfielder Chris Keating would
Roanoke rolling against the Generals as
he scored the first two goals of the
game to stake the Maroons to a quick
advantage in the opening half.

Washington & Lee would come back
and chop into that deficit as Grant
Martin throws one in on the high side
to make it a 2-to-one game. *CG final Washington & Lee

ODAC SEMI-FINALS The Maroons win it 16 to 9 and
will host Lynchburg in the title game ODAC Sunday.

Pelicans vs. Avs Muggsy and the young crowd were
hanging out tonight in the stands.

There were plenty of hugs and
runs tonight.

Francisco Caraballo builds on a
one to nothing lead with a double to
right field that will chase Scott
Robinson home all the way from first
base as the Avs make it 2-to-nothing
after an inning.

The Pelicans would tie it in the
second, but Salem scored three more in
the third. Neil Sellers doubles just
to the left of the Skytracker 7 sign,
and Ervin Alcantara scores. *CG final Myrtle Beach

April 27, 1992 Hartman has been coaching
baseball for nearly 50 years and
without a doubt one his biggest
highlights of his career came on April
27th in 1992 when he won his 1000th
game - becoming just the ninth coach in
history to reach that milestone. That
day he was given not only a golf bag,
but a customized golf cart.

He currently has 14 hundred and
41 wins, with nearly a thousand of
those coming with the Hokies.

He's already in five hall of
fames including the American Baseball
Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the
Salem Roanoke Valley baseball hall of
fame, and the Tech Hall of fame.

He was underweight and officials
weren't sure he'd live, but thanks to
researchers at Virginia Tech the bear
was nursed back to health.

Tim, who's described as "a bundle

Richmond's Maymont Park who had to be
