fraud.
The Methodist pastor
misappropriated funds meant for people
on Social Security. He also used a
donation to charity from the Falwell
ministries to pay his taxes. The jury
found he lied about it, too.

evacuated today- and a haz mat team was
called.

when some janitors smelled something
strong in building B- that's home to
the main offices and the library.
School officials evacuated the
building.
A hazmat team was later called in
to investigate.
They later determined it was
malathion- which is a pesticide.
All students and employees who
came in contact with the substance had
to take precautions.

man and a teenage student at Woodrow
Wilson Middle School - the Roanoke City
school system says it's reviewing
security procedures in all facilities.
The school system issued a
statement today saying it's taking the
incident seriously and is committed to
ensuring the safety of all students and
faculty.
This comes after an incident
Monday where 39-year-old Terry Wayne
Dehart was charged with assault after
an altercation with the teen in the
school hallway.

figure out what caused a fatal accident
in Giles County yesterday.

Dublin was driving on Route 100 when
she crossed the center line and hit
this truck head-on.
Both Shelton and her two year old

Other counties in West Virginia
such as Grant, Pendleton and Greenbrier
are in the midst of the debate on
whether to grant permits for wind
farms.
As for Highland County, the State
Corporation Commission is waiting to
hear back from the D-E-Q.
But that agency has suspended its
review because it wants more
information.

limit, not an age limit.
Grand- Driver- dot- net is
designed to keep seniors mobile, but
safe.
It helps folks re- evaluate
driving skills that can change as age

alternative forms of transportation.

basepaths in Blacksburg where the man
who wears number one - is calling it
quits.
Chuck Hartman announced this
afternoon that he will retire at
season's end after 28 years as the
Hokies head baseball coach.

April 27, 1992 Hartman has been coaching
baseball for nearly 50 years and
without a doubt one his biggest
highlights of his career came on April
27th in 1992 when he won his 1000th
game - becoming just the ninth coach in
history to reach that milestone. That
day he was given not only a golf bag,
but a customized golf cart.
He currently has 14 hundred and
41 wins, with nearly a thousand of
those coming with the Hokies.
His victory total makes him
fourth on the all-time division one
coaching ladder, and in 2004 he was
inducted into the American Baseball
Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
He also already is in the Salem
Roanoke Valley baseball hall of fame,
the Tech Hall of fame and two other
shrines.
Earlier this afternoon the man
who coached Tech in the Metro, Athletic
10, Big East and ACC talked about the
many young men he's worked with over
the years.
