Some feel mold is making teachers
sick so we asked for a tour of the
school to see the problem firsthand.

We found plenty of water stains
on the ceiling and a wall.

Administrators say a leaky roof
is causing it.

Even so, the school system plans

parts of Liberty High School in Bedford
County to shut down.

Around 7:30 yesterday, some
janitors noticed a strong odor in
building B, which is home to the main
offices and the library.

A hazmat team was later called in
to investigate.

They later determined it was the
pesticide malathion.

All students and employees who
came in contact with the substance had
to take precautions.

The school was back to full speed

by 11:30 yesterday morning.

At this point, it's unclear on
how the substance got there.

goodbye to Roanoke and hello to
Richmond.

Yesterday This black bear, wildlife
officials named "Tim" after Governor
Kaine, was found roaming Interstate-
581 last fall.

He was underweight and officials
weren't sure he'd live, but thanks to

researchers at Virginia Tech the bear
was nursed back to health.

Tim, who's described as "a bundle
of energy", will replace two bears at
Richmond's Maymont Park who had to be
put down earlier this year.

sure Tim's ride from Blacksburg was as
comfortable as possible.

He'll live in isolation for about
30- days to get used to his new home at
Maymont.

searching for a second bear to help

girl from a deadly car crash says she
was meant to be there.

crash scene, heard a baby crying and
instantly ran to help.

man and a teenage student at Woodrow
Wilson Middle School - the Roanoke City
school system says it's reviewing
security procedures in all facilities.

The school system issued a
statement yesterday saying it's taking
the incident seriously and is committed
to ensuring the safety of all students
and faculty.

This comes after an incident
Monday where 39-year-old Terry Wayne
Dehart was charged with assault after
an altercation with the teen in the
school hallway.
