Today marked the end of a
two-week long Arbor Day celebration.

The children were each given a
Red Bud tree to take home by the
Teaching Kids to CARE program.

The national outreach program is
sponsored by the Hotel Roanoke and
Doubleetree Hotels.

This year more than 10-thousand
trees were planted by students across
the United States.
