According to the city the
main-break is on 30th and Shenandoah in
Northwest and the street has been
closed off.

Roanoke's water authority is

of marijuana along with firearms during
a Bedford County bust.

The Viper Task Force along with the
County Sheriff's Office executed a
search warrant at the house near
Chamblissburg, belonging to convicted
felon, Richard St. Clair, around 2:30
yesterday afternoon.

Once inside, investigators found 50
pots of marijuana, ranging in different
maturity levels. Once fully developed,
one pot would bring in roughly 1500
dollars on the street, so there was the

potential for about 75-thousand dollars
worth of drugs.

Lynchburg mayor, Carl Hutcherson has
also left the United Methodist Church.

leave of absence after he was indicted
in December.

His conviction Tuesday on federal
fraud charges led him to ask Bishop

she will continue to pray for
Hutcherson and his family.

yesterday the company will NOT
reconsider it's decision to shut down
their plant.

VO-NAT Governor Tim Kaine delivered the

news after meeting with Ford officials
in Michigan yesterday.

The company plans to close the
plant in two years.

24- hundred people work there
assembling F- 150 pickup trucks, which
is the company's best selling brand.

Governor Kaine says deciding to
close the plant was difficult for Ford,
which has operated in Norfolk for more
than 80- years.

fundraisers.

Here's a look at some extreme
weather from across the globe.

VO NAT Penny-sized hail and more than
five inches of rain fell on certain
parts of San Antonio Texas yesterday
sending water over roadways.

These cars were knocked
completely off the road by the flooding
rains.

Crews performed 54 high-water
rescues, as people tried to drive
through the water.

VO NAT Texas wasn't the only state hit
by strong storms. Severe storms around
Tulsa, Oklahoma left scattered flooding
and power outages.

As much as five-inches of rain
fell during a 12 hour period. An
estimated 65-hundred homes were without
power.

A flood watch remains in effect
for areas of Eastern Oklahoma.

VO NAT Last weekend, Indonesia's Mount
Merapi sent a plume of smoke in the
air.

This weekend the flow of lava has
started. Experts warned an eruption is
eminant.

The volcano last erupted in 1994
it sent out a searing cloud of gas that
burned 60 people to death.

standoff ended peacefully with the
arrest of a Lynchburg man on an assault
charge.

A SWAT team and a negotiator were
called in and 20-year-old Jonathan Ray

Police Officers were seriously injured
while serving in Iraq.

were injured when their humvee was hit
by a suicide bomber.

The two men have since been
recovering from their injuries at
Walter Reed Medical Center and are now

Virginia wind tunnel.

This new "blended- wing- body"
model plane is being tested at the
Langley NASA Wind Tunnel in Hampton.

The tunnel was completed in the
early 1930's and has hosted the likes
of Charles Lindbergh and Orville
Wright.

This month researchers are
testing how the B-W-B performs during
take off and landing scenarios.

It's been dubbed the "flying
hybrid" because it's 30- percent more
fuel efficient than modern planes.

The military hopes to one day use
it as a fuel tanker or bomber.
