over the weekend put one man in the
hospital and injured a Virginia Tech
student.
A bystander flagged down an
officer on patrol yesterday morning and
pointed out the victims.
A 32-year-old man from Alexandria
was seriously hurt- Adam Wells is at
Roanoke Memorial Hospital in intensive
care.
The Tech student, 20-year-old
Christopher Sopko, was treated and
released from Montgomery Regional.
Police have charged 28-year-old
Grayson Lee Forehand of Blacksburg with
two counts of malicious wounding and
one of assault and battery.
He's held without bond.

This is a three day sentencing hearing
for Daniel Biechele. He's the former
tour manager who plead guilty to 100
counts of involuntary
manslaughter...for lighting a
pyrotechnics display during a
performance of the band Great White.
Sparks from the show ignited foam used
for soundproofing and turned the
station club into a blazing inferno. In
addition to the dead, more than 200
were injured in a wild scramble to
escape. Biechele did not have a permit
to use pyrotechnics in Rhode Island.

In a plea bargain...Biechle will be
sentenced to a maximum of ten years.
He has expressed his remorse by writing
letters of apology to victims families.

Before the sentence is handed down,
Biechele is expected to address the
court. His case does not end the
pursuit of justice....criminal charges
are still pending against the owners of
the club who installed the foam that
caught fire.
