his left wrist in tonight's game
against the Boston Red Sox, ending
his consecutive games streak at 518.
Matsui was injured trying to make
this diving catch of Mark
Loretta's blooper in the first inning.
He landed hard on the wrist
and walked off the field with a
trainer.
Because of baseball ruleS,
Matsui's consecutive games
streak ends because he didn't play a
complete half-inning of defense or
complete a time at bat.

Denison vs. Roanoke Once the front rolled through the
:00 valley the wind really picked up at the
Moyer and the temperature headed south.
The Maroons didn't have a hit in
the game until the fourth when Whitney
Purvis slammed a double over the
centerfielder's head. Tamara Poles and
Ashley Pierce both score. Pierce's
tally would turn out to be the eventual
game winner.
Roanoke pitcher Lyndsi Craig, the
Lord Botetourt product, had a shutout
going most of the night - here she gets
the strikeout to end the inning and.
She got her 18th win of the season.
But Denison made it interesting
in the top of the sixth as Andrea

Well, police say a 10-year-old
noticed suspicious activity in her
Texas neighborhood and linked it to a
news report she had seen on tv.
The biggest clue for the little
girl was the powerwasher the thief used
as a decoy, pretending to wash the
parking lot of a gas station. He
apparently used to loan it out to
