(END SOT) Its a midterm election year bill
aimed at extending tax relief to
millions of Americans....70 billion
dollars over 5 years.
After passing the housing

senate.
sot:Senator Chuck Grassley/(R) Iowa
"it extends the lower rates that will
allow millions of americans to
keep more of their money to save or to
reinvest in the economy."
(graphic)
Here's how it works...for families with
incomes of $50,000 dollars or
less, there will be no more than
46-dollars in savings. Up to
100-thousand dollars averages no more
than about $400 dollars.
100-thousand to a million saves
anywhere from 13-hundred to 55 hundred
dollars.
The bill also extends recent changes to
the alternative minimum
tax...one intended for the wealthy...
but a tax that many middle class
earners have been paying.
Critics, mostly democrats, say the plan
is skewed in favor of the rich.
sot:Senator Max Baucus/(D) Montana
"working families have been left

ideological wants over American's
needs."

Students and teachers may not welcome
this bill...that's because there's

Wednesday," and once folks got in the
gate - they headed right for the
concession stands.
The Warthogs opened things up hot
in the first inning, as Chris Kelly
finds a hole in right field.
David Cook comes home from
second, and it's one to nothing in
favor of the visitors.
Winston-Salem wasn't finished in
the first frame- as Josh Hanson's
unintentional bunt toward third - which
should have been an easy out - is
instead an error as Kelly comes home.
It's 2-to-nothing Warthogs.
Salem would get one of those back
in the bottom of the first. Ervin
Alcantara gets his first homer of the
year as he drills one over the left
field wall.
*CG final Winston-Salem
3 But it wasn't enough-- the Avs
Salem lose it 3-to-2.
2 The two teams close out their
series tonight.
