morning -- charged with painting racist
and threatening grafitti along the
outside of Christiansburg High School.
TAKE ARRESTS APRISA TAKE FS GFX

Terry Epperly, Jr., Darren
Mosier, and Brandon Saunders, all of
Christiansburg, face numerous charges,
including felony destruction of
property and threats to bomb a public
building.

Police say Epperly and Saunders
are students at the school. Mosier is
NOT.

Police also say the three were
seen buying paint Thursday at a store.

Stadium.

Another ten thousand people
crowded into the stands to watch the
university's 134th commencement
ceremony.

It has been an on-going tradition
at Virginia Tech for the new governor
to speak at graduation during his first
year in office.

This year was no different as
Governor Tim Kaine delivered the key
note address.

a new weapon.

The F-D-A has approved the drug
Varenicline (vuh-ren-ih-clin).

It s made by Pfizer and will be sold
under the name Chantix.

The twice daily pill works by blocking
nicotine from entering the brain while
reducing cravings and withdrawal.

In clinical trials, it helped more than
one in five smokers quit.

A new study on estrogen finds it can be
safe if it is not taken for too long.

Some women use estrogen to treat the
symptoms of menopause.

Researchers say those who took the drug
for less than ten years had no
increased risk of breast cancer.

However, after 15 years there was a
major increase in risk.

The CDC says its time to make the AIDS
test part of a routine physical.

Federal health officials plan to issue

new guidelines for voluntary HIV
testing by this summer.

The guidelines influence what doctors
do and what health insurers cover.

The CDC will recommend routine AIDS
testing for every American ages 13 to
64.

Chanchu has left 23 dead, stranded
6,000, and sank two ferries off the
coast. The storm cut through Mindoro
island with winds up to 55mph and
torrential downpours. Chanchu is
expected to cross into the South China
Sea and strengthen to Typhoon status
later today.

VO NAT To Chile, where officials in the
capital of Santiago declared a smog
emergency yesterday, ordering nearly
200,000 vehicles off the streets and
590 factories closed for the day in the
Chilean city.

Air quality is often bad in
Santiago but has worsened recently due
to an unseasonable lack of wind and
rain. How do they chose which vehicles
are banned from the road?

Investment Partnership - held its 10th
annual Tug for Tots.

In the past decade, the corporate
"Tug of War" competition has raised

more than $200 thousand dollars.
