GRAPHIC=Shooting Police in Roanoke are
investigating a shooting.

This Morning Police believe the victim, who is
an adult male, was shot inside a
residence in the 2100 block of Holly
Road around 2:30 this morning.
When officers arrived, they found
the victim inside a vehicle a short
distance away from the scene.
Police say a friend of the victim
was trying to take the him to the
hospital.
Rescue crews arrived and
transported the man to Roanoke Memorial
Hospital. At last report, he was still
alive.
The victim's name is not being
released until family members have been
notified.
No arrests have been made.

Last night, city council
appointed May Huff and Todd Putney to
replace Kathy Stockburger and David
Trinkle who both decided not to run
again.
Council also re-appointed Jason

when she resigned from the board last
year.

There were some concerns about
how ticket sales would go considering
prices ranged from 52 dollars up to

demolition of Victory Stadium could
happen fairly quickly.

to bid by the end of the week.
Once a contractor is hired,
demolition could begin as early as next
month and it should take less than
thirty days to complete the work.
Plans are already underway to
make bricks from the stadium available
to the public free of charge.
