Galax Police Chief Rick Clark
says his department started getting
reports of graffiti about nine months
ago when it appeared on public
housing...then it spread.

He says his officers have been
going through a lot of training
lately...trying to interpret what the
writings mean.

into the area.

Monday was an accident.

worked at the Corner Cupboard store on
Wooding Avenue.

Around 5:30 Monday night, police
say Yeatts apparently dropped his gun,
and it discharged when it hit the

floor.

Yeatts was struck in the chest and
died later at a Danville hospital.

Police say Yeatts and other store
employees kept guns on hand for
protection.

about how a Halifax woman was
electrocuted on railroad property in
Martinsville last week.

City police say Shelby and James
Reagan were stealing copper wire and
selling it. One of them would climb a
utility pole and cut the wire while the
other would roll it up.

Lieutenant G-C Dove of the
Martinsville P-D says he believes
"Shelby Reagan may have got hold of a
live wire," and that's how she died.

Dove says the line carries 480
volts of electricity.

JAMES Reagan has been charged with
removing a power line, attempted grand
larceny and trespassing on railroad

property.

teen, who was shot and killed nearly
two years ago, says they are frustrated
by all the courtroom delays.

shot once in the stomach in June of
2004.

19 year old Zach Linkous is
charged with first degree murder.

Last week, just one day before
jury selection the trial was postponed
for a second time.

Bertrand's family does not
believe the shooting was an accident.

They say the wait for justice has
been difficult, but they believe the
truth will finally come out when the
case goes to trial.

this old Dan River Industries plant in
the River Pointe industrial park.

Arista makes the plastic tubing
used in personal care products.

Its parent company, Essel Propack,

today's announcement ... 600-thousand
dollars in state incentives helped seal
the deal.

Since March of 2004, Danville has
seen nearly 200 million dollars in new

fence along part of the U-S border with
Mexico.

Spradlin was awarded the first
ever Willis White Foundation Athletic
Scholarship. This will help as
Spradlin takes his game to the college
level to play at Concord where he
signed a letter of intent this evening.

The Willis White Foundation has
only been around for a couple years and

helps any former player or Coach of
Willis White that is in need, and now
an annual scholarship to a deserving
High School Senior.

State Championships. He caught a

Friday Football Extra The Twins will be inducted into
the Virginia High School League Hall of
Fame Class of 2-thousand and 6, the

Induction is in October. Tiki and
Ronde grew up here in Roanoke and
starred at Cave Spring in Football
where their numbers are on the wall in
the lobby of the school. Tiki number
2, Ronde number 5. The Twins also
excelled at Indoor and Outdoor Track,
before taking their talents to U-V-A
and then onto the N-F-L where they
currently star, Ronde for the Tampa Bay
and Tiki for the New York Giants.

Softball Tournament. The Hokies are
the number 2 seed in the Knoxville
Region where Tennessee is the top seed.
This is the second straight season

get their shot at Revenge. The Maroons

advanced in the N-C-A-A Division 3
Men's Lacrosse Tourney this afternoon
with a 13 to 12 win over Gettysburg.
Now they will take on the Number 1
Team, Salisbury in the Semi-finals.
Roanoke lost last year in the Same
round to Salisbury and then again
during the regular season here in
Salem. That was the last loss this
season for the Maroons. The game is on
Saturday at Salisbury.

The Ashley Plantation Head Pro knows a
thing or two about playing for a
paycheck, but maybe not one this big.
Travis Wells caught up Chip before he

shot at some big money and maybe big

upcoming PGA Club Professional

Those endeavors will take a
backseat next week though, because
Sullivan is one of 100 golfers selected
to play in the Trump Million Dollar
Invitational, a 54 hole stroke play
event in which the top 10 advance to a
9 hole shootout for one million
dollars. The event will take place at
the Donald's Raffles Resort on Canouan
Island in the heart of the Grenadines
in the Eastern Caribbean, and will be
televised by ESPN.

CHIP SULLIVAN/WILL COMPETE IN TRUMP
INVITATIONAL:

The tournament won't air until the
first week in July, so if Chip is
fortunate enough to win the cool
million, he'll have to keep quiet for
about the next 6 weeks.
