lovely this time of year. But if you're
headed to a certain seaside hotel --
beware of bringing any excess baggage.

you pay for every bit of it.

(END SOT) (NATS....BIRDS CHIRPING /FLOWERS)
LOCATOR: NORDEN, GERMANY With its
spring flowers and tender touches, you
might mistake this for a typical pretty
little bed and breakfast. But inside
this German B&B lurks uber-spunky fat
fighting FANATIC Jeurgen Heckrodt.
NATPOP: Juergen wants guests to take a
load off. Their frame. NAT POP IN
GERMAN SAYING GET ON THE SCALE So the
more you weigh ---- the more you
pay...about 30 cents a pound. It CAN be
good news... ANNA BERTRAM/NORDEN,
GERMANY I THINK IT'S A CHEAP WAY TO
SPEND A HOLIDAY IF YOU DON'T WEIGH TOO
MUCH. THOMAS BEDER/HOTEL GUEST I HAVE
NO PROBLEM (laughs, looks at stomach)
I'M NOT BIG...IF I AM BIG - I HAVE
PROBLEM! (laughs) Ya! And if you feel a
little uncomfortable... JUEGEN: nat pop
in german "KILOS" ...that's JUST fine
with Juergen. SOT - JUERGEN
HECKRODT/HOTEL OWNER THEY ONLY NEED A
SHORT KICK AND THEN THEY CAN DO IT BY
THEMSELVES. (STANDUP BRIDGE) CHARLIE
D'AGATA/NORDEN, GERMANY TIME FOR ME TO
WEIGH IN ON THIS -- GO AHEAD THEN.
2:24:13 NO DISCOUNT? (juergen) NOT FOR
YOU... (charlie) WHATEVER. THIS IS JUST
THE FIRST STEP IN ONE MAN'S MISSION TO
MAKE YOU A BETTER PERSON. HEY JUERGEN,
WANNA CHECK THAT AGAIN? There's no gym,
no strict diets...just Juergen's
gut-busting house RULES. First, say
'Auf Wiedersehen' to your coffee fix.
JUERGEN: I'VE NEVER DRANK COFFEE IN MY
WHOLE LIFE. CHARLIE: NEVER? YOU DON'T
KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MISSING! Here -- you
must drink TEA....concocted by
Juergen's wife Elke. nat pop elke DO
IT! (charlie nat slurping ) And it must
be SLURPED -- just so...to get the full
experience. ( ELKE REACTS) SUPER,
SUPER. PERFECT. Want to be alone? Not a
chance in Juergen's house. SOT:
JUERGEN: IT SHOULD BE BIG FAMILY, IT'S
HOLIDAY. Talk more, eat less. SOT -
JUERGEN: MOST PEOPLE ARE FAT BY EATING
TOO MUCH - AND NOT IN THE RIGHT WAY.
And get a little exercise -- that's an
ORDER! SOT - JUERGEN I'M A LITTLE BIT
STUPID, BUT YOU MUST BE STUPID DO DO
THINGS LIKE THIS Right?! Juergen says
after all, his weigh and pay plan is
all about promoting a healthy BOTTOM
line. For him...and his guests. Cd.
