OQ=News 7 Sports << Charlotte North Carolina maybe
(END SOT) home to most Nascar Teams. Making

Lowe's Motor Speedway their home track,
but even the man in charge of the Mile
and Half Oval knows that isn't the Home
of Nascar Fans.

(HUMPY BITE:34:36)

(STANDUP: The Trip to charlotte from
Roanoke takes just about 3 hours but it
is a lot closer to Humpy Wheeler's
pocket book as they rely heavily on the
economic dollar from Southwest Virginia

(HUMPY BITE:35:18 )

In order to keep those fans
coming back Humpy has tried all kinds

of things, this includes trying to jump
just about anything on fours wheels in
the infield.

This leads up to the racing that
gives fans something different than the
short tracks here in our area.

(HUMPY BITE: 36:08)

The first of 2-thousand 6 to see
what kinda fun Humpy's got planned for
this year will be this weekend for the

Last night, the Hokies opened up
a three- game series with UVA in

nothing in the fourth, but then allowed
the Cavs to come back and take a 4- to-
2 win.

The Cavs only mustered four hits,
with Tom Hagan getting one of those-- a
triple in the 5th.

But the Hokies committed three
errors.

VO-NAT The Smithsonian's National Museum of

American History opened a new exhibit
yesterday to honor Jim Henson's
creations.

Henson got his start in the 19-50's
with a Washington television show
called Sam and Friends.

It wasn't until the 19-60's that
Henson became well known for his work
on Sesame Street.

The Smithsonian is exhibiting the
original Kermit the Frog, Doctor Teeth,
the Swedish Chef, Rowlf the Dog and
several of the muppets used on Sam and
Friends.

The original Kermit was made from
Henson's mother's coat, and a ping pong
ball.
