Montgomery County.
The left lane remains closed
following an accident that happened
there yesterday.

this afternoon just south of the Ironto

The driver was taken to Roanoke
Memorial Hospital with several

yesterday afternoon in a wooded area
along the 1400 block of Peters Creek
Road.
The children were fishing for
tadpoles when they discovered him.

her appointment last night.

shooting spree in Roanoke worries more
violence is on the way if police don't
make an arrest soon.

29-year-old Alfred Trussell was
one of eight people shot Saturday
during an after-hours party on Melrose
Avenue.
Trussell was shot in the upper
thigh and still has a bullet in his
leg.
His friend, 22-year-old Timothy
Jerome Thompson wasn't as lucky- he was
killed as he ran out of the house.
Trussell and Thompson's family
say the shooting was gang related.
They say police know who killed
TJ, but haven't done anything about
putting his killer away.

information may be at risk.

VO-NAT Someone has stolen computer files
containing the names, social security
numbers and birthdays of 26 million
veterans and their spouses. The files
are missing from the home of a data
analyst.
The veterans affairs department
says that the employee was not supposed
to take records home.
So far the department says it has
not seen any indication that the
information has been mis-used but it's
taking measures to prevent any further
problems.
The V-A has set up a toll-free
hotline for veterans who want more
information on protecting their
identity.
That number is 1-800-fed-info.
