tadpoles found a man's body in a
Roanoke creek.

The fire broke out in an abandoned
home in the 500 block of Elm Avenue
around 2:30 yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy
flames and smoke. They had to bring
out a ladder truck to put the fire out.

No word on what caused the fire but
an investigative unit has been called
in.

Heavy smoke caused traffic backups on
Bullitt Avenue in both directions for

accident Saturday night in North

Police say White was riding his

for tadpoles found a man's body in a
Roanoke creek.

They made the discovery late
yesterday afternoon in a wooded area
along the 1400 block of Peters Creek
Road.


Roanoke City Police say the case
has not been ruled a homicide, but
they're still trying to determine the
cause of the unidentified man's death.
