custody, charged with the weekend
shooting that killed one man and and
left seven others injured.

Killed in the shooting was 22
year old TJ Thompson, and his family
believes the killing was gang related.

They say he was shot because he
would not join one.

Roberson turned himself in to police
last night around 9:30

He is charged with murder and the use
of a firearm.

Police say Roberson was one of the

cited for 10-violations stemming from a
three-month investigation last summer.

The investigation was prompted by
complaints from citizens and law

Three other charges related to
noise and disorderly conduct were
dropped.

Mango's must either pay a
25-thousand dollar fine or give up its

They found a man in his early 50s
lying on the sidewalk with a head
injury.

been determined.

GRAPHIC=Brush Fire No new information has been


released about a forest fire in
Botetourt County.

At last check, the fire was

burning on Dagger Spring Road in the
Eagle Rock area.

State forestry officials said
yesterday the fire spanned nearly ten
acres but wasn't posing much of a
threat.

This morning, dispatchers said
crews had left the scene, but they
couldn't say if the fire had been put
out or contained.

It's believed that the fire may
have been started by lightning that hit
in the forest overnight Monday.

The fire started at about 11:30
yesterday at this duplex on Grayson
Avenue. When firefighters got there
heavy smoke was coming from the
windows.


No one was home and no one was
hurt... but firefighters say the fire
started in several different spots and
the cause has been ruled incendiary.

The fire started around 11:30
yesterday at this duplex on Grayson
Avenue.

No one was home, and no one was

Monday night police found a man

reckless driving charge.

shooting that killed 22 year old TJ
Thompson and and left seven others
injured.

Roberson turned himself in to police
last night around 9:30

He is charged with murder and the use
of a firearm.
