State Senator John Edwards was
the main speaker at one such event.
He told dozens of veterans this
morning in Lee Plaza that the country
is asking much of its military these
days...more than it is asking of
ordinary citizens.
Edwards urged the group to
remember and respect the sacrifices of
those in the armed forces.
