because of information the school
district received today.

April 11 He effectively resigned from the

district when he was told his contract
as Cave Spring Athetic Director would
not be renewed next year... AT that
point he was offered another position
in the district for next year and
turned that down.

Meck's dismissal as A-D touched
off months of controversy over
superintendent LInda Weber.

Meck's supporters complained
about Weber's intimidating management
style and started a petition calling
for her resignation.

After a school board
investigation, and a two month paid
leave, Weber decided to retire.

Meck has been serving as A-D and
was set to step aside June 30th.
Today's firing means he is finished at
the district effectively immediately.

With a plea deal the Washington
Redskins Safety will spend no time in
Jail. Taylor was in a Miami Courtroom

today to plead no contest to a
misdemeanor charge of assault and
battery and receives 18 months of
probation.

Taylor was facing charges of
felony assault but that charge has been
dropped with the agreement. Also as
part of the plea bargain he will have
to perform Community Service in the
Miami area.

While the proceedings in the
courtroom are over, Taylor still faces
the possibility of sanctions from the
N-F-L. It could be just a fine our he
could be suspended for a couple of
games by the league.

Taylor is scheduled to join the
rest of the team for Mini-camp that
begins on June 16th.
