Hadden wrote about a meeting he'd
just had with a DEA Agent, his own

minutes into the hearing Phillips left
him there by himself. Hadden's letter
to the judge goes on to say he had told

Neighbors say around 5 o'clock a
neighborhood child crossed the street,
apparently chasing a baseball.

He retrieved the ball, but as he
crossed back he was hit by a black car.

Neighbors say the boy then
crashed through the rear window of this
parked car.

Roanoke Police have blocked off
the 14-hundred block of Wise Avenue
while they conduct their investigation.

We hope to have more information
at 11.

The Old City Cemetery was first
placed on the National Register of
Historic Places back in 1979.

Now it's getting some recognition
from the state as well.

City leaders gathered today to
unveil the cemetery's first Virginia
Historical Highway Marker just outside
the main gates.

Cemetery officials say the sign
will help put the tourist attraction on
the map.
