Phones sit unused today at General
Truck Body Company, just one of many
businesses that rely on the telephone.

Their major function is getting
body work done to trucks that come in
from the factories....But today work
has been hampered....

The salesman is unable to make his
daily phone calls, the parts department
is unable to order parts that have
already been purchased as well as
losing out by the inability to talk to
new customers who want to place an
order.

Cox says crediting customers for
the lost time is certainly an option,

So the Historic Sandusky
Foundation today broke ground for a new

visitors center to accomodate the
crowds that visit the Civil War site.

An existing carriage house will
be converted into a multi-media tourist
center and gift shop to help guide
visitors through their experience in
the home next door.
