Grayson Co. vs. Goochland A huge crowd turned out at Dedmon :00 Center Park to see if the Blue Devils
could handle the Region B champions
from central Virginia.

Goochland would strike first with
two runs in the bottom of the
first--the second coming right here as
Conard Jones drives in fellow senior
Kyle Hicks with the single to left
field. The Dogs took a 2-oh lead after
an inning.

But the winds of change started
to blow in the third. David Bolt hits
a shot to right center that ends up in
far right by the time the wind was
through with it. The ball bounces off
the fielder's glove allowing Zach Jones
to score to make it 2-1.

Adam Bedsal then stepped up to
give Grayson the lead smacking one to
center for 2 *CG final Grayson County more Blue Devil runs, but it wasn't 3 enough as Goochland won the state title Goochland by a 4-3 final.

That's why a co-chairman of the
annual Fourth of July parade in Redwood
City California says he banned the
twirlers.

The group of 19 girls, ages nine
to 15, have performed in the parade for
18 years.

The chairman says in the past the
group has delayed the parade several
minutes, causing spectators to leave.

Instead, the chairman has offered
the twirlers a chance to perform on the
festival stage afterwards. (END VO) (END VO)
