withbut now with Tropical Storm Alberto
gaining strength-- the Hurricane

(SOT: GARY MOORE/CLEARWATER BEACH

RESIDENT) HOPEFULLY IT WILL JUST BE A
BUMP IN THE ROAD

That bump in the road has already
spawned at least two Tornadoes..and
authorities believe the storm related
weather may be to blame for a small
plane going down South of Tampa. One
person was killed when it crashed into
a home. Although Alberto is still about
a day away from hitting, weather
experts are already predicting the big
problem will not be the wind.

(STANDUP: DREW LEVINSON)

INSTEAD IT WILL BE THE STORM SURGE. IF
ALBERTO HITS AT HIGH TIDE AS
EXPECTEDTHOSE WAVES COULD BE EIGHT TO

10 FEETTHAT WILL CAUSE SERIOUS EROSION
AND FLOODING.

That puts this state between a rock and
hard place--because it needs the rain.

flared up for weeks.

UNDERSTAND WE ARE SUFFERING A DROUGHT

tone to get messages in class, and many
teachers can't even hear the ring.

The ring tone is too high-pitched to
be heard by most adults. With it, high
schoolers can get text message alerts
without the teacher knowing. The
phenomenon is known as aging ear -- a
loss of the ability to hear
higher-frequency sounds. It happens to
many people as they get older.

One New York teacher says a
colleague played the ring for a
classroom of first-graders. All of the
kids could hear it, while the adults
couldn't hear anything.

The ring tone is a spin-off of
technology that was originally meant to
repel teens. A security company

developed the tone to help stores annoy
youths loitering in front of their
stores while leaving adults unaffected.

ESPN2 The U.S. took on the Czech
Repulic in their opening game of pool
play.

The Americans looked flat early
as they feel behind 1 to nothing in the
first 5 minutes and Jan Koller would
head one home in the middle of three US
defenders for the Goal.

The U.S. had a chance to tie
shortly there after, but Claudio Reyna
the U-V-A product would hit the post
and things just got worse from there.

Tomas Rosicky would find himself
open from outside the box and hit an
absolute laser to the right side
netting to give the Czech's a 2 to
nothing lead.

*CG final United States Rosicky would add another goal in the 0 second half and the United State falls
Czech Republic flat on their face 3 to nothing.

Most bears in this area of New
Jersey weigh about 350 pounds so
naturally one could understand why
Jack's owner was concerned for him,
given he weighs about 10 pounds.

Deemed a superhero by neighbors who
saw the whole thing, they're still
asking themselves how a bear that size
could actually be scared up a tree by a
cat?
