GRAPHIC=BAM Good afternoon everybody and

welcome to the Tuesday ticker.

Not a great week so far for
marquee athletes.

At the top of the show we told
you that J.J. Redick was arrested this
morning and charged with driving while
impaired. Court records show Redick
was also charged with unlawful use of
highways for making a U-turn at a check
point, and his driver's license has
been revoked for 30 days.

Yesterday Speaking of licenses - KDKA TV in
PIttsburgh is reporting today that Ben
Rothlisberger now only didn't have a
helmet - but neither did he have a
valid Pennsylvania Motorcycle's permit.
The report says the Steelers'
quarterback had a learner's permit to
operate a motorcycle that expired March
29 but had never taken the written and
driving tests for a motorcycle license.

Police are still investigating
the crash.

GRAPHIC=BAM The Salem Avalanche will be back

on the field tonight on the road
against Myrtle Beach. The Avs have won
7 of their last 10 games as they enter
the home stretch of the first half of
the season. The Avs have just 2
Series left before the slate is wiped
clean. Which is a good thing as Salem
is in last place in the Southern
Division 13 and half games out of first
place. If the Avs were in the Northern
Division they would be just 1 and half
games out of first place.

begins tomorrow in at the Winged Foot
Country Club in Mamaroneck, New York.
As one of golf's four majors there is
always buzz around this event - but
this year it louder than ever.

Tiger Woods is back after the
longest layoff of his career.

His dad Earl passed away on May
3rd and Tiger hasn't played in a pro
tournament in 9 weeks.

His return is a way to honor his
dad, and what better weekend to so -
than on Father's Day weekend.

She's back on the ground now but
earlier actress Daryl Hannah chained
herself to this walnut tree at an urban
garden in Los Angeles to protest an
eviction order.

Nearly 350 people have grown produce
and flowers in the garden since the
early 90s but now the owner wants to
replace it with a warehouse.

Police moved in, and began arresting
people. Some even had to be removed on
stretchers.

Firefighters on a ladder cut away
branches to remove Hannah and fellow
protestor John Quiqley.
