VICTORY STADIUM FS IN BAM demolition of Victory Stadium should be
well underway.

While many are happy the issue is now
resolved, others can't let the place go
that easily.

It's no secret Sherley Stuart is a
big Victory Stadium supporter.

He played there as a high school
student back in the 50's.

He then coached for fourteen years,
first for Addison High School, later
William Fleming.

Some of his best games were at
Victory Stadium.

It was not unusual to see ten to
fifteen thousand fans in the stands.

The largest crowd was always when

found alive and well.

whirlwind of emotions...and that's
exactly what Helen Braun is going
through right now.

She now lives in Philadelphia and
hasn't seen her daughter, Rebecca, in
ten years.

Monday evening Ms. Braun received
the news that the suspected kidnapper,
Danny Arthur Moran had been found,
living under an alias here in Roanoke,
and arrested.

The very next day, the news that
Rebecca was safe, found in a mobile
home in South Carolina.

After years of staying in touch
with FBI agents and police, persistence
paid off. But Braun says she never let
doubt into her heart.

Giles County tonight sent a Roanoke
woman and two four-year-old children to
the hospital.

It happened around 7 o'clock on
route 460 southbound, in Pearisburg.

An S-U-V driven by a 29-year old
woman overturned, flipping several
times.

The children, one boy and one
girl, were taken to Giles Memorial
Hospital and the driver was flown to a
Roanoke Hospital.

Police are withholding their
names at this time.

York were in court today.

But their case was carried over

off the roof of the Doubletree Hotel.

Without that information, defense

Officials say construction was a
concern, but never became a problem as
thousands were able to find a parking
space at the event.

Shuttles were running from both

Nearly 600 students from the city

her own, and create a magazine that
