NBC Sports-NHL The game went to overtime tied at
:00 3-all.
Carolina should have been in
business with a power play chance early
in the extra period.
But the Canes do a terrible job
of clearing the puck with a man
advantage, and Fernando Pisanni sliced
in, stole the puck and scored.

GRAPHIC=None Queen Elizabeth is celebrating her
birthday this weekend, but the party
starts today.
And if you're thinking-- hasn't she
already had a birthday this year--
you're absolutely right.
As Charlie D'Agata tells us, when
you're Queen Elizabeth you not only get
to be queen EVERY day, you also get
more than one birthday.

One of the many luxuries of being Her
Majesty -- is that one gets TWO
birthdays -- hurrah!! Her real one,
last April.... and her OFFICIAL one
this weekend.
(nat pop trumpets....) LOCATOR: LONDON
Among THIS round of events -- a packed
service at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Attended by princes...and politicians
-- and husband Prince Philip who
recently turned 85.
Afterwards -- 350 of her closest
friends will tuck into a royal banquet.
And it's the British public that
decided which dishes will tickle the
royal tastebuds. And there were plenty
of savory suggestions.
MOS "HAVE TO GIVE HER FISH BALLS OR
SOMETHING, YES."
MOS "BANGERS AND MASH."
MOS "COD AND CHIPS, YAH."
MOS "CAVIAR, CHAMPAGNE."
STANDUP BRIDGE: CHARLIE D'AGATA/LONDON
NATURALLY, WE ASKED THE QUEEN WHAT SHE
WANTED TO EAT....APPARENTLY SHE WAS
BUSY. BUT HER PEOPLE SAY, "WE DO NOT
COMMENT ON WHAT HER MAJESTY LIKES AND
DISLIKES." WELL OF COURSE THEY'RE GONNA
SAY THAT -- IT WOULDN'T BE
PROPER..WOULD IT...
14 chefs from across the British empire
competed for the privilege of
satisfying the royal palette.
SOT - MARCUS WAREING/CHEF
WHEN I FIRST GOT THE RECIPE RIGHT AND
YOU TASTE IT -- THE FIRST THING YOU
THINK OF IS - WOW - THAT'S JUST GREAT.
Marcus Wareing will serve up the
winning desert -- a traditional custard
tart. It follows an appetizer of smoked
salmon, a fish course of pan-friend
turbot, and a Scottish recipe for
venison with creamed cabbage.
For weeks, birthday cards have been
pouring into Buckingham
palace....keeping the Queen's ladies
busy... writing thank you letters.
By the way -- the whole reason for this
SECOND birthday... the weather tends to
be better this time of year.
And by some minor miracle -- the
forecast is sunny and warm.
For a lady who's got it all -- that's
just about the best birthday gift a
girl could ask for.
