The contractor, Turner Construction

That was the message from Red
Cross volunteer Thomas Stark as he
addresed the crowd at the 2006 annual
Roanoke Valley chapter meeting.

*CG locator Last Year Stark responded to Hurricane Katrinia.
He says this experience showed you
can't use a procedure manual to respond

to a disaster because they are all
different.

But he's not convinced national
leadership is willing to look at some
of the mistakes and correct them.
