GRAPHIC=Murder Investigation Police in Lynchburg have charged

three men in connection with a murder
last weekend.

One suspect is still on the
loose.

26-year-old David Devin Poe was
shot to death inside his home on Early
Street late Sunday night.

Police say at least four people
entered the home armed with handguns,
intent on confronting Poe.

Yesterday, police arrested 23-year
old Joseph Lee Hamlet in the 900 block
of Early Street.

They're also looking for
28-year-old Carson Alfred Washington.
He's wanted for first degree murder. He
is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Another man Garlon Deshawn Cabler
is charged with robbery and firearm
charges. He was already in custody
after being arrested on an unrelated
charge.

here...Helen Braun reunited with her
daughter, Rebecca, who she hadn't seen
for ten years.

The hopeful mother said she never
doubted that she would see her little
girl again.

Yesterday, Braun flew from
Philadlphia where she lives, to pick up
her daughter who was found alive and
well in South Carolina.

Ten years ago, Braun says she went

in the house to answer a phone and the
girl's father, Danny Arthur Moran, took
off with her toddler. Moran was
arrested earlier this week in Roanoke
for the kidnapping.

As Braun rode in the limo to see
her daughter, it was a brief trip down
memory lane.

Horticultural Garden is branching out.

There are more than five acres of
gardens at Tech, and this area has
become a popular place for social
events.

That's why this pavilion had to
be built for staging large gatherings.

The 25-hundred square foot
building was dedicated in honor of
Peggy Lee Hahn, wife of T. Marshall
Hahn..a former Virginia Tech President.

They pledged a million dollar
estate gift and 475-thousand dollars in
start-up funds for the expansion of the
garden in 2004.

Residents in some Minneapolis
neighbors spent last night trying to
keep dry.

pummeled with heavy rains and strong
winds. The force of the water was so
great it even blew manhole tops off
causing water to gush into the streets.

This also caused a problem for drivers
who found themselves stranded.

Reports of hail two inches in
diameter and wind gusts up to 80 miles
an hour.

VO NAT And Tropical Storm Alberto may be
long gone but the problems caused by
the season's first major tropical
system are anything but a distant
memory in eastern North Carolina.

Residents of Smithfield can do
little else but watch and wait as the
Neuse River continues to rise.
Forecasters predict the river will
crest early today at more than 7 feet
above flood stage.

three men in connection with a murder
last weekend.

One suspect is still on the
loose.

shot to death inside his home on Early
Street late Sunday night.

Police say at least four people
entered the home armed with handguns,
intent on confronting Poe.

Yesterday, police arrested 23-year

old Joseph Lee Hamlet in the 900 block
of Early Street.

They're also looking for
28-year-old Carson Alfred Washington.
He's wanted for first degree murder. He
is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Another man Garlon Deshawn Cabler
is charged with robbery and firearm

here...Helen Braun reunited with her
daughter, Rebecca, who she hasnt' seen
for ten years.

The hopeful mother said she never
doubted that she would see her little

girl again.

Today, Braun flew from Philadlphia
where she lives, to pick up her
daughter who was found alive and well
in South Carolina.

Ten years ago, Braun says she went
in the house to answer a phone and the
girl's father, Danny Arthur Moran, took
off with her toddler. Moran was
arrested earlier this week in Roanoke
for the kidnapping.

As Braun rode in the limo to see
her daughter, it was a brief trip down
memory lane.

students are on a mission, to let folks
in the big apple know there are only a
few bad apples in Roanoke County.

the next few days trying to make amends
for what many consider an
embarrassment to the Roanoke Valley.

Last month, three county students
were charged with throwing paint cans
off the roof of a hotel, hitting
several nearby police vehicles.

Yesterday, a group from Hidden Valley

volunteered at the 17 Precinct and a
local homeless shelter.

budget.

The agreement signals the end of
an unprecedented stalemate just two

gone up in the last 14 months on the
property of the old Ericsson building
on Candlers Mountain Road.

Its one million square feet of
space will accomodate a 42-hundred seat
sanctuary, chapel, private prayer rooms
and a common area for shopping and
eating.

It's all part of Falwell's plan to
consolidate his church and school in
the same area.
