Yesterday Over ten years of discussions
about what to do with Victory Stadium
led up to today's demolition.

Yesterday afternoon, several
people took the time to stop by the
site one more time, recalling memories
of over six decades of events.

Roanoke City engineers and a crew
from S.B. Cox are scheduled to begin
the demolition project after 7 o'clock.

It is unclear whether today's
pending rain showers will have any
effect on the plans.

A new study indicates obese kids suffer
more disabling headaches than their
normal weight peers.

(vo)

Past studies have linked obesity to
headaches and migraines in adults.

The study's authors believe that
obesity probably contributes to the
more frequent migraines in heavy people
because they are less likely to follow
healthy habits like eating right,
exercising and getting quality sleep.

Researchers are tracking patients in
the study to see if losing weight will
reduce the severity of their headaches.

(wipevo)

Researchers say new imaging technology
that combines the power of CAT scans
with the finesse of a PET scan can
catch cancer and other diseases earlier
than using just one of the systems..

potentially boosting survival rates and
cutting costs.

The two types of scan are commonly used
separately.. the new combined approach
called "time of flight" technology is
mostly used with cancer patients but it
also has applications in the fields of
cardiology and neurology.

(wipevo)

Americans are seeking medical care more
than ever before with the number of
doctor and hospital visits growing at
three times the rate of the population.

The National Center for Health
Statistics reported more than 1 billion
visits to doctors' offices, emergency
rooms and hospital outpatient
departments in 2004.

Those are some of the day s top health.

A new study indicates obese kids suffer
more disabling headaches than their
normal weight peers.

(vo)

Past studies have linked obesity to
headaches and migraines in adults.

The study's authors believe that
obesity probably contributes to the
more frequent migraines in heavy people

because they are less likely to follow
healthy habits like eating right,
exercising and getting quality sleep.

Researchers are tracking patients in
the study to see if losing weight will
reduce the severity of their headaches.

(wipevo)

Researchers say new imaging technology
that combines the power of CAT scans
with the finesse of a PET scan can
catch cancer and other diseases earlier
than using just one of the systems..
potentially boosting survival rates and
cutting costs.

The two types of scan are commonly used
separately.. the new combined approach
called "time of flight" technology is
mostly used with cancer patients but it
also has applications in the fields of
cardiology and neurology.

(wipevo)

Americans are seeking medical care more
than ever before with the number of
doctor and hospital visits growing at
three times the rate of the population.

The National Center for Health
Statistics reported more than 1 billion
visits to doctors' offices, emergency

Yesterday Over ten years of discussions
about what to do with Victory Stadium
led up to today's demolition.

Yesterday afternoon, several

Roanoke City engineers and a crew
