Six weeks ago, 10 year old yorkie
Zack's heart was beating so slowly that
he could hardly breathe.

Now thanks to a battery-operated
pacemaker, implanted by a veterinary

cardiologist, his heart is back to a
normal rate.

Zack's pacemaker cost about three
thousand dollars but his owner says
when one of her "babies" is sick, money
is not an issue.

Carolina All-Stars vs California The Carolina League Stars were All-Stars hoping the Home League Ball-Park would
help them to a win.

there was plenty of blue skies to be
seen. California League would get the
game's first run, Matt Miller from
Modesto would ground one to short,
Lynchburg's Brian Bixler would boot it.
Yung Chi Chen would score.

Carolina League comes back in
their half of the first they would
score 2 runs to take the lead. One
coming into score on Brian Barton's
triple off the wall in right field.
Bixler scores all the way from first.

In the top of the Second Salem's
Chad Reineke took the mound for the
Carolina League. He pitched a
scoreless inning and eanred pitcher of
the game honors. All three outs were
recorded by Bixler at Short. Only in a
All-Star game can a Hillcat help out an
Avalanche Player.
