water just after one o'clock. She was
reportedly playing in the culvert
between her parents and grandparents
homes on Dunlap Creek Road, when she
went under.

Crews were called to the scene with
rescue boats and divers, but the fast
waters made searching tough.

Roanoke River.

Flooding along the river forced
the closings of several streets and
bridges, as well as Wasena Park.

But, city officials say one area
known for flooding isn't seeing any --
thanks to the city's flood reduction
plan.

The city recently widened the
river along Riverland Road and 9th
Street to help reduce flooding.

Officials say so far, it's
working.

the employees is trapped.

have been a gas leak.

Only three or four people were in
the motel when the explosion happened.

But crews are still working hard to
get into the wreckage and find the
missing worker.

believe they have found the remains of
Noah's Ark.

Originally the ark was believed to
have been in eastern Turkey but the
team's leader said that was impossible
based on the description in the Bible.

One of the men involved, a Texas
