Warthogs vs. Avalanche This is the second of three :00 nights that the Avs are sharing the
James Taliaferro Complex with the Salem
Fair.

We pick it up in the bottom of
the second as the Avs get a little
help. The Warthogs first baseban tries
to start the double play, but instead
hits Jeffery Mackor in the back of the
head on his way to second. The ball
shoots into the outfield and Neil
Sellers scores to make it 1-to-nothing.

The Avs got some more help, but
didn't take advantage of it.

The Warthogs' right fielder
misplays the fly, but Mackor can't
quite crank it up to beat the throw.
He's out at the plate to complete an
inning in which he was hit in the head
and thrown out, much to his manager's
dislike. *CG final Winston-Salem
4 The Avs would bloop one into
Salem shallow center and chase home two more 3 runs - but Winston-Salem scores four FINAL IN 10 INNINGS unanswered to win it 4 to 3 in 10.
