since a teenager died... swimming in
the Maury River.
Now the city of Lexington has
taken some action.

Last night, the city passed on
ban on swimming at Jordan's Point until
further notice.

Volpe died when while he was swimming
with a friend.
The Rockbridge County teen and
his friend were swept over the dam.
Volpe's body was found the next

One way to tell you've come in
contact with a bedbug -- is a bite that
looks similar to a mosquito bite.
And because they feed on blood they
also leave behind brownish marks on the
bed or linen.

out that just because a few rooms are
infested does not mean that's the case
for the entire motel.

the mat at Virginia Tech.
Five wrestlers from last year's
team, who had hoped to transfer and
follow coach Tom Brands to Iowa, have
filed a lawsuit against the University
and athletic director Jim Weaver.

Last Season The suit which was filed in
:00 Montgomery County Circuit Court states
that the wrestlers want to be released
from their scholarships and allowed to
transfer based on fradulent inducement,
breach of contract and a lack of the
due process of law.
The wrestlers are seeking damages
claiming they were told that during the
recruiting process that they would be
allowed to transfer and that Tech had
an open release policy.

(END SOT) Final Round of the Virginia Girls
Junior Championship at Roanoke Country
Club. It was clear that it was a
2-horse Race for the overall Title.
Floyd's Jessica Hollandsworth shot a
front side 37 that included a par on
number 9.
Playing in the group behind her,
Blacksburg's Courtney Ellenbogen who
was the leader after the first round
3-putted both 9 and 10 to open the door
just a bit.
On the back-side Hollandsworth,
shot 33 for a final round 70 but it
would not be enough to over-come her
defecit to start the day, Last Year's
Champion would have to settle for
second overall and first place in the
16 to 18 age division.
Ellenbogen shot a matching 70 to
Hollandsworth that included the shot of
the day on 16 a par 3 that plays at one
hundred and 70 yards, Ellenbogen hit
it to just about 4 feet, she would make
the put for birdie and cruise home to
win the Virginia Girls Junior
Championship.

Meredith Swanson out of Roanoke
shot a Final Round 79 to finish second
to Ellenbogen in the 14 to 15 age
division.

silenced Argentina.
