apparently lost control of his moving

intoxicated, and charged with D-U-I.

There was a fatal accident on
Northbound interstate 81 last night.

State Police say
34-year-old Jose Rigoberto Ortega
Chavez of Roanoke was killed when the
car he was riding in hydroplaned and
hit the guardrail.

It happened in the
northbound lanes of I-81 near Dixie
Caverns in Roanoke County.

Troopers say two other men
in the car were injured.

The driver was charged with
reckless driving and driving without a
valid license.

Troopers also say the tires
on the car were bald, which may have
contributed to the accident.

a murder that happened last night.

for shooting and killing a man outside
her home at the Fairfax Village
apartments along Davis Street.

When police arrived, they found
him outside bleeding in the parking
lot.

The victim, 39 year old Ken
Henry of Tennessee, later died at the

Bobcats Practice Facility Leitao hoping Courtney can
recruit someone like Adam Morrison to
U-V-A. Last years NCAA Scoring Leader
has signed a contract with the
Charlotte Bobcats. The 3rd overall

about $3 and quarter million in season
two based on the NBA pay schedule.

The 6-foot-8, 205-pound forward
from Gonzaga has signed a four year

champion this weekend and 3 teams from
the Roanoke Star's Soccer Club will be
in Europe to experience the passion
along with playing some soccer of their
own.

The Roanoke Star Under 15 Boys
Premier and Classic Teams along with
the Under 14 Girls team will travel to
Finland and Sweden to play in

tournaments against teams from all over
the World.

They will continue the tradition
of playing Soccer in Europe that was
started in the Stars program back in
1992.

Soccer is at the top of the to-do
list for the trip, but the kids will
also have a chance to learn about
different cultures.

The teams will arrive in Europe
on Saturday with play beginning on
