The search continues for Mill
Mountain Zoo's wayward monkey.

Despite a sighting behind Roanoke
Memorial Hospital yesterday afternoon,
and more volunteers tracking the animal
today, "Oops" is still on the loose.

They hiked through deep
underbrush and wooded terrain, but
after several hours reported no new
sightings.



Since Oops made her escape on
Sunday, the search for Oops has made
major newspapers around the country,
internet sites in South Africa and

India... even blogs and satire sites.

Here in western Virginia, Bedford
County resident nancy Smoot has been
following the story closely.

She says the search has reminded
her of a rhesus monkey names peaches...
Donated to the zoo in the 50s by
Smoot's aunt and uncle, the animal made
a similar dash for freedom.

call from a man this week who said he
represented the company.

She says he asked for another
credit card number in order to charge
her 229 dollars.

She did not give him any
information.

According to the Better Business
Bureau, the phone number that man was

afternoon was Steve Hale who was
playing the 2-thousand and 3 Champion
David Tolley as both advanced in the
morning round.

They will narrow the field down
to 32 by the end of today with Round 3
and the Quarterfinals being played on
Saturday and then the Semi-Finals and
Finals on Sunday, with all play at Blue
Hills.
