BRAND NEW DRUGS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO STOP

UNFORTUNATELY, THERE'S NO PILL THAT CAN

HELP PREVENT THE CONDITION. AND DOCTORS

THE LATEST STUDY SHOWS SMOKING NEARLY

(SOT-Dr. Richard Spade/Ophthalmologist)
"another big risk factor is what kind
of things you have in your diet, people
eat a high fat diet particularly high
in cholesterol or high in animal fat
seem to have a higher risk of getting
wet macular degeneration."
AND A HEALTHY DIET CAN ACTUALLY LOWER
THE CHANCE.... ESPECIALLY IN PEOPLE WHO
ARE HOOKED ON FISH. A NEW STUDY FOUND
EATING FISH ONCE A WEEK CAN REDUCE THE
RISK OF MACULAR DEGENERATION UP TO 40
PERCENT. DOCTOR RICHARD SPADE SAYS
FISH IS FULL OF OMEGA THREE FATTY
ACIDS... GOOD FOR BLOOD VESSELS
THROUGHOUT THE BODY.
(SOT-Dr. Richard Spade/Ophthalmologist)
"sounds like we're talking about heart
disease but the same thing works for

THESE MEASURES AREN'T A GUARANTEE
AGAINST THE CONDITION. BUT THE BOTTOM
LINE IS CLEAR. ADOPTING A HEALTHY
LIFESTYLE NOW CAN IMPROVE YOUR OUTLOOK.

welcome to the Monday ticker that

Nationals vs. Avalanche The P-Nats made the most of it in
:00 front of hundreds of kids from
Honeytree Learning Centers as they took
in the game.
The Avs Rory Shortell made his
first start of the season after going 3
and 3 out of the bullpen. Potomac
jumped on him with four runs in the
third. Brandon Powell slaps a single
to center, plating Steve Mortimer and
Ender Chavez.
*CG final Potomac
8 Salem got a run back when
Salem Wade Robinson hits one to short.
1 Francisco Caraballo crosses the plate
on the error, but there wasn't nearly
enough of that as the Nationals roll
Salem this afternoon 8 to 1.

Two discovery astronauts ran into
some troubles on the second of two
spacewalks... during the six and half
hour spacewalk... the anchoring device
that keeps the astronauts from floating
away nearly came loose.
They also had some troublue putting
a piece of equipment into the shuttle's
payload bay- and it was a bit tricky
installing a new part.
But eventually they were able to do
everything they set out to do.. and get
safetly back inside.
The third and final spacewalk is
set for Wednesday.
