The japanese snow monkey made her
escape a week ago Sunday, while her

cage was being cleaned.

Zoo staff and volunteers searched
through deep underbrush and wooded
terrain, and followed up on many
sightings without success.

when Garden City resident Libby Martin
spotted the monkey in her back yard,
and the animal was finally recaptured
and returned to the zoo.
