After a week in the wild, Oops is
back home at the Mill Mountain Zoo.
And tonight her handlers say
she's doing well.

The japanese snow monkey made her
escape a week ago Sunday, while her
cage was being cleaned.
Zoo staff and volunteers searched
through deep underbrush and wooded
terrain, and followed up on many
sightings without success.
...that is: until yesterday...
when Garden City resident Libby Martin
spotted the monkey in her back yard,
and the animal was finally recaptured
and returned to the zoo.

Today, Oops continued to recover
from the tranquilizer dart that was
used to sedate her.
And the zoo's veterinarian says
it does NOT appear that she suffered
any animal bites or scratches that
would raise concern.

third so far charged with the murder of
a Lynchburg man last month.

Police say a group of men burst
into the house, intent on confronting

a speeding car struck a Roanoke woman
as she rode a bike.
As Keeda Dudley endures a lengthy
recovery, she wonders whether the
driver will ever be caught.

little girl's mother says, after being
injured in a Giles County motorcycle
accident over the weekend.

tunnel became obsolete.
That's why on October 2nd, 1925,
men were working to expand it on a
sunny day- with no sign of danger.

system.
Some of the transformers are as old as
the star itself, and City Leaders say
if several go out at once, it's a real
possiblity the star could go completely
dark.
It's also becoming increasingly
difficult to find replacements when a
transformer fails.
So the city plans to completely
upgrade the electrical system.
