ATF Agents yesterday, Davis claims the
gun went off accidentally, as he pulled
it out of his pants pocket.

The affidavit also says police heard
three gunshots fired inside the
residence during the five-hour
standoff.

They indicated Davis had gotten away
from them by putting the gun to his own
mouth, backing away into his home.

The document indicates Vinton police
had first approached Davis to question
him about a burglary in which Davis was
a suspect.

Federal agents say Davis admitted he's
an intravenous user of OxyCodone, and

the proseuctor told the court yesterday
that Davis is a daily OxyContin user,
having shot up at 10 o'clock that

Now the feds have charged Davis
with possession of a firearm as a

His criminal record includes
several violent crimes, sex offenses
and failures to appear in court. Keith

residents showed up last night to
protest a tax hike that many claim has
nearly doubled their car taxes.

to residents.

They've extended the deadline for

the second half of taxes by 90 days but
residents say that's not good enough
and want change.
