The former World Cup coach was
hired by Major League Soccer's New York
Red Bulls today. Arena inherits a
team that does not have the "best of
the best" as far as talent on it. The
Red Bulls are 3-6-8 this season with

the fewest wins in the MLS. The team
is last in the Eastern Conference with
17 points.

series is in Pocono this weekend as
rest assured that Elliott Sadler will
be a man in demand.

Reports today throughout the
south confirm that the Emporia native
will be leaving Robert Yates Racing at
the end of the season.

April 2 Sadler will also be changing
manufacturers as he moves from Ford to
Dodge and takes over the number 19
Charger owned by Ray Evernham and
currently driven by Jeremy Mayfield.

This move now means that Robert
Yates racing - once the measuring stick
of the sport - is losing both of its
drivers - Sadler and Dale Jarrett.

Since 2000 seven drivers,
including three of Ford's last four
champions, have left for one reason or
another.

Mayfield likely will end up in a
Toyota next season.

JEAN READS

This little kitty caused quite a
stir as it hung from the roof of the
Kent Square Parking Garage this
afternoon..

Two maintenance men came to its'
rescue.

They said it had slipped down a
slanted tin roof and got stuck in a
gutter.

They managed to get it out, but
then the cat took off onto a tiny
ledge.
