Friday Vierling died, and more than 100
others received medical care on Friday
after they became ill at a Roanoke
College residence hall.

Yesterday, the last patient who
remained hospitalized was discharged
from Lewis Gale Medical Center.

Though she was listed in critical
condition on Friday, a hospital
spokesperson said the woman continued
to improve through the weekend and was
released yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, Roanoke College says

Under the city's current system,
two vehicles involved in an accident
could be charged vastly differing
amounts for the same service -- if
performed by different companies.

The city hopes by having an
EXCLUSIVE contract with one or more
companies will make the pricing more
