patients at Memorial Medical

Center during the hurricane Katrina
chaos.

The investigation began after rumors

surfaced of mercy killings at the

hospital, but the Louisiana Attorney
General's office says they're not

calling this euthanasia or mercy
killings - this is second degree

murder. Subpoenas were issued to 73
people who were in the medical

center during and after the August 2005
storm...a category 4 hurricane

that led to massive flooding that
devastated the facility. With no

power and temperatures over 100 degrees
inside the building....employees

and elderly patients waited four days
for assistance.

When help did arrive....at least 34
patients were dead. The New Orleans

coroner tested some of the deceased at
Memorial and other facilities

for potentially lethal doses of drugs
like morphine. Those results have

not been made public. The Louisiana
Attorney General has scheduled a

news conference for later today.

catch the Mets.

Last night, they showed folks

ESPN Bobby Cox's boys would erupt for :00 20 hits and 15 runs last night against
the mighty Cardinals for their season's
6th straight win.

The Braves have now scored 51 runs
in the four games they've played since
the All- Star break.

The Braves roll to the 15-to-3
win-- and in the process-- cool off the
Cards - who had won 7 in a row.
*CG locator Boston, MA In the American League - the Red NESN Sox came from behind and won one of
those games they can't afford to lose.

Doug Miribelli hit a three run
homer in the 7th, as the Sox erased a
four run deficit and came back to beat
the Royals 5-to-4.

That keeps them a half- game in front

of the Yankees.
