GRAPHIC=Golf The State Open of Virginia had

The Drama came in who would
finish second as a number of golfers
were in contention.

In the end it was Chip Sullivan
the Pro at Ashley Plantation in
Daleville that shot a nifty 5 under par
in the final round that included a
biridie on 18 and a second place
finish.

On this weekend no one was a
match for Faber, who won this
tournament as an amatuer and now adds a
win as a pro. He was 4 under par on
the day to finish at 16 under and 6
strokes clear of Sullivan.

June A woman in Fancy Gap found the
donkeys wandering in her yard last
month.

They've been at the Galax Animal
Shelter ever since.

The stray donkeys generated
hundreds of phone calls.

Earlier this weekend, they were
sold at an auction.

Ron Schwartz of Floyd County
bought both donkeys for 575-bucks.

The shelter had to hold an
auction because by law, the shelter can
not let someone adopt livestock.
