Gilmer and a friend were fishing at
Robertson's Hole on Wolf Creek, when
Gilmer slipped in and was pulled under.

His friend, along with officers
and another bystander tried to pull him
out, but were unsuccessful.

Police tell us that alcohol was

Employees of the company say
their experts haven't pinpointed the
cause... and city investigators say it
may be weeks before they reveal any
conclusions about the incident.

The company operates a solvent
recovery facility and it was early
Saturday morning, when an explosion at
the plant rocked southeast Roanoke.

says its most recent inspections of the
Roanoke facility did not reveal any

the ACC is set to make a major
announcement with the Orange Bowl this
morning.

The Miami-based BCS game will now
have an exclusive tie-in with the

Atlantic Coast Conference.

Already this year's ACC champ
was schedule to play in the January 2nd
game, and now ACC fans will know that
their champion is headed to South
Florida each January.

The official announcement is

Martinsville ended with a car wreck and
one man dead.

Henry County investigators say it
appeared the driver.. 32 year old
Jeffrey Dean Deskins was driving
drunk....so they tried to pull him
over.

took off and was driving erratically

They say he hit a guardrail,

Police say 20 year old Joseph
Gilmer and a friend were fishing at
Robertson's Hole on Wolf Creek, when
Gilmer slipped in and was pulled under.
