the 581/220 interchanges from Orange
Avenue to Wonju Street.

At Elm Avenue for example, there are
currently six options.

They include adding a separate
southbound flyover ramp seen here in
red, having just one traffic signal in
the middle, or replacing the bridge
altogether.

yesterday's trench collapse at a
construction site in Christiansburg.

Two men were trapped when the
walls collapsed around them.

They work for DCI Shires out of
Bluefield and were fixing a broken
sewer line at the New River Valley

mall.

47-year-old Billy Eugene Casey
from Bluefield, West Virginia was
released from the hospital last night.

Co-workers say Mike Schultz, from
Peterstown, West Virginia, was kept
overnight for observation.

And Tony Jones actually pulled
Schultz from the mud and water.

getting a new community center soon
thanks to the Danville Regional Jail
Foundation.

It announced this morning that it
will donate three million dollars to
pay for the project.

The center will be constructed on
a Main Street site currently owned by
Chatham Cares, Inc..

The foundation is awarding a
total of 16.4 million dollars in grants
for area building projects.

region -- the cleanup continues.

Appalachian Power and the
Tri-County Lake Administratin
Commission have teamed up to remove
tons of debris settled along the
Blackwater and Roanoke Rivers.

The work began around July 4th,
when a storm blew through the Smith
Mountain lake area -- sending waste
downstream, where it was eventually
trapped.

So far, workers have managed to
remove more than 120-tons of debris.

The cleanup will most likely
continue for at least another month.

Highway Patrol in Ohio pulled the
two over earlier this month for going
73 in a 55 mile per hour zone. And when
officers searched the car they found 18
grams of mariuana and five tablets of
the pain killer Vicodin.

Both faced various drug charges
related to the incident.

Since the incident, Van Dam not
only lost his WWE title but his ECW
title as well.

current race analyst Benny Parsons
disclosed today that he has lung
cancer.

Parsons, who is 65, had recently
experienced difficulty breathing and
went in for a checkup where the cancer
was found. Parsons says he used to be
a smoker, but hasn't had a cigarette
since 1978. Despite beginning
treatment, he says he plans to work
next week's race at Indianapolis.

lease on life today...despite being put
into a gas chamber for 30-minutes.

the attempt to put it to sleep.

On monday, agricultural officials
inspected the gas chamber at an animal
shelter in Alabama, and found nothing
wrong with it.

Manager's at the shelter say they
are shutting down the gas chamber and
are taking steps to transfer to lethal
injection.

Meanwhile, "Amazing Grace" is
still under observation at a vet's
office.
