(END SOT) Lawyers for Andrea Yates have been

making that claim for five years....and
today jurors in Houston
agreed.....finding her legally insane
and not responsible for drowning her
five small children in a bathtub.

After the verdict was read Andrea
Yates wept quietly...so did her lawyers
and her former husband, Rusty... who
has supported Yates from the very
beginning.

"ANDREA LOVING MOTHER AND FELL TO THIS
DISEASE AND DID UNTHINKABLE ACT."

Prosecutors never denied Yates had
psychological problems, but claimed she
didn't meet the state's definition of
insanity.

Joe Owmby/Prosecutor: Andrea Yates knew
it was wrong and five kids are dead
because she made a decision that it was
right." This was the second trial for
Yates. She was convicted of capital
murder in 2002, but the verdict was
overturned because of false testimony.

During the re-trial... her lawyers
passionately argued once again that the
42 year old mother was delusional and
actually believed she was saving her
children from hell by killing them.

deliberated about 12 hours over 3 days
to reach their not guilty verdict.
Yates is now expected to be committed
to a state mental facility until a

that about 40 percent developed a
complication within six months of

vomiting, reflux, and diarrhea.

players Eventually, he will get
this roster down to the 12 who will
play in Asia in the World
Championships.

after Team USA suffered through the
"nightmare" of getting whipped at its

annual wild pony swim in Chincoteague.

The horses crossed a 200-yard channel
to Assateague Island, Maryland.

The ponies will be auctioned off
tomorrow to raise money for the local

volunteer fire department which cares
for them.

Ponies that aren't sold will roam free
for another year at a national wildlife
